Herbert Zanski |
Herbert Zanski was born in Erie, Indiana on a cold February 14, 1952 to Joseph and Mary Zanski. Herbert was never really a small child but his outgoing personality quickly made "Herb", as his friends called him, popular at school. When Herbert was 10 his dad died of testicular cancer. Herb was the oldest of 3 children and was left to take care of his mother and two younger brothers. When Herb graduated High School as the class of 1970 he didn’t go onto college like most other students, instead Herb started manufacturing furniture. By the time Herb was 22 he had a decent sized chain of furniture stores called "Furniture Options" throughout Indiana. When Herb was 24 he married his sweetheart Marge Tanner. They put off on having children for a while and when he was 35 had his first and only child Billy. When Billy was 3 the family moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana and are happier than ever. |

Margret Elizabeth Tanner was born on September 22, 1953 to Danny and Lydia Tanner in Erie, Indiana. Margret had a childhood like most children. She has one sister named Sylvia Tanner, who by the way is very single and looking for a decent hardworking man in her life. She’s beautiful!!! Marge graduated High School and went on to go to college at the University of Indiana. After graduation she moved back home and fell in love with Herb Zanski. They moved with their son Billy to Fort Wayne, Indiana where they continue to reside with the additions of dog Buster and cat Tabby. |

Billy Allen Zanski was born on January 25, 1987 to Herbert and Margret Zanski in Erie, Indiana. When he was 3 his family moved to Fort Wayne Indiana. Billy loves it there and he enjoys playing soccer and being on the debate team at school. Billy’s parents also comment on how he loves his Nintendo and can’t get him to do his homework!!!! Leonard Zanski was born to Joseph and Mary Zanski in Erie, Indiana on May 25, 1956. His father died when he was six. His older brother Herbert took care of him, his brother Robert and their mother. After Leonard graduated High School he attended school at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama where he majored in English. This is where he met the love of his life Ellen. Soon after graduation they were married and Leonard had small success with a book called "Kiss me in the Dark." It was on the best sellers list for 2 weeks. Three years after their marriage they had a child which they named Garth because of Leonard’s love for Garth Nix a writer who wrote Leonard’s favorite book called "The Seventh Tower." In 1996 Ellen and Leonard filed for divorce, but the two remain friends. Leonard hopes that one day he can start a series of children’s books called "Leonard the Crime Fighting Mouse." |

Garth "Vader" Zanski son of Leonard and Ellen Zanski was born in Bear Creek, Alabama on August 05, 1981. Garth’s parents always knew that he was going to grow up to be some kind of musician. He started playing guitar at a young age, influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, Metallica, and G n’ R. In 1996 his parents filed for divorce and that encouraged him to start his own band. His band, The Deadbeats, play in his local town all the time. Garth hopes to get his band signed and tour with his favorite band, System of a Down. |

Robert Joseph Zanski was born on November 15, 1961in Erie, Indiana to Joseph and Mary Zanski. The youngest of three children Robert’s father died when he was one and he doesn’t have much memory of him. His oldest brother Herbert supported the family. When Robert was 18 he moved to Florida and went to school at the Florida State University College of Law. He afterwards successfully set up his own business and married Dawn Peterson. As his business begins to flourish so does his family. Recently they had a newborn son and named him Joseph and the couple couldn’t be happier. |

Mary Zanski or Granny Zanski was born on September 8, 1932. She never knew her real father but she was and still is very close with her mother Dorota Zanski. When she was 20 years old she married Joseph Zanski and moved to Erie, Indiana where she had three sons. Her husband Joseph died in 1962 of testicular cancer but her son Herbert took care of her and her other children. After all her children moved out Mary started to work with her son Herbert at his furniture chain. Together they have stores all over Indiana and are continuing to grow. |

Dorota or Great Granny Zanski was born on December 28, 1902 to Alesky and Antonia Zanski in Lurliy, Poland. Her family moved to The United States when she was ten years old. The family lived all over but eventually settled in Indiana. Dorota never married but bore a child in 1932 by the name of Mary. Great Granny now lives in the Hoosier Retirement Center. She’s almost 100 years old but still moves around like she’s 20!!!! Great Granny has brought lots of joy to our family and we hope that we have years more to look forward to. |

Walter Green was born on July 25, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois. When he joined a construction company that led him to the town of Erie, Indiana. There he met and fell in love with Lydia Tanner. After a few years of dating the two were wed. Lydia never changed her name to Green and when their daughters were born they kept her name. Their first daughter named Margaret in 1953, and their second daughter Sylvia in 1960. The two have been very happy together and plan on staying together forever. |
